A species of the tall crested iris (Evansia) Like full sun and a well drained rich soil. HARDY AND EASY TO GROW. 9"-11" high. Semi-evergreen. The fans of this shiny light green textured leaves around 2 1/2 cm wide droop over their upper length to reveal the slightly branching flower stems with their spring flower about 4" across in a lovely shade of blue lavender. Deeper mottling and white frilled crest complete the picture. Can be divided every few years, but best to replant each year after flowering flowering to keep up its vigour. Suitable for decorative sprays and corsage.
