A low-growing, spreading, evergreen perennial to around 15cm. The primrose-like leaves are dark grey-green, flushed with dark, bronzy red, especially in cold weather. Clusters of greenish-white flowers with prominent pink-tipped stamens are produced in late winter and early spring
