Kniphofia linearifolia syn. K. uvaria var. maxima baker.
(Click image to view full size) Flower is usually bright pinkish red in bud, opening to orange or yellow. The bright inflourescence is large, elongate or rhomboid in shape as opposed to globose in K. uvaria and the plants is large with stipper leaves. Hardiness variable, to -10 degree centigrade celsius perhaps, is the hardiest form. Posted & supplied by bare rooted (2 division).
